Who We Are

Scranton, Pennsylvania, is home to Linwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Our center exists to serve those who need skilled nursing care, short-term rehabilitation or long-term care.

Why Linwood

Lavender flowers represent serenity, grace and calmness. Throughout history, it has been used for its soothing fragrance and healing properties. Like lavender, Linwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center strives to be a place that provides serenity, grace and calmness for those who live in, work at or visit. This is why lavender was included in the logo. As an important member of the Scranton community, it is our hope to be stable, giving and healing, just like the beautiful purple flower.

Short-term rehabilitation

The entire second floor is dedicated to those who need short-term care as they recover from surgery, illness or injury.

The Volunteer Experience

Our center is always looking for volunteers - whether you are a retired individual looking to stay connected to your community, a teacher looking for opportunities for their classroom, a young adult needing opportunities for community service, a religious leader wanting to connect with community elders, or just someone who wants to spend time with the residents/patients who call our center home. We have many opportunities for volunteers! Watch the video below to see how we work to help our residents/patients thrive.
